We will post news as it happens for HEROES IN FORCE!
Heroes in Force attended the funeral of Jacob Hall, the six year old boy who was killed by a 14 year old shooter at his elementary school in Townville South Carolina. Watch as our friend, mentor, and Batman for Heroes For Higher, John Buckland, shares a heartfelt eulogy for this young hero. This event was by far our toughest to date. Trying to make sense of a senseless tragedy such as this is futile. We lifted the family, and gave them hope that their son played a part in the goodness of the world by bringing an entire community, country, and world together to mourn a young superhero. Jacob wanted to be a preacher when he grew up. This is his only sermon. He will be missed. Godspeed Jacob. We love you.

Happy New Year. This is a long post but we wanted to let you know exactly what we are planning for 2015, so please take time to read:
1) Our primary mission is to reach more kids and teens this year. We have visited over 10 schools, over 10 churches, and our hero training has been received by over 5,000 kids and teens in 2014. This next year we want to double that.
2) We want to visit more hospitals and do more home visits to sick kids. As always, this is a FREE service we provide and feel that this is our mission as the community heroes. Please take advantage of this. The smile of child is healing!
3) We want to offer more to our community. For example, we want to offer a "Make a Wish" type event for kids who are dealing with life threatening illnesses in our very own community.
4) We want to do more community events and be in the community more often. A lot of businesses contact us to come hang out with them and we love doing that. Just send us a message and we will be happy to come to your establishment. You might also see us randomly on the town on the weekends... We will of course continue to partner with organizations that share our mission (Relay for Life, Circle of Hope, March of Dimes, etc)
5) Our costumes are used every week, sometimes multiple times in the week. They have a lot of wear and tear on them, especially our Superman and Spiderman suits, which require repairs almost after every appearance. We have commissioned a couple of costume makers to help us with this and hope to premier those in January. These will be studio quality and be more durable.
6) We would love to start transforming the Hero-mobile. Batman has been working hard to restore it and get it in excellent running condition. Once the transformation is complete, the car will have a lot of cool features, such as fun lights, buttons to push, and it will even be able to carry on a conversation with the kids. We are excited but this will be a couple of years of progress and a few thousand dollars in order to complete. We will share concept art with you soon on what we are aiming for with the car.
7) We are now going to offer a 30 minute party option. This will of course be cheaper than our hour long party option, but still have our great hero training! We will always offer a Party with a Purpose no matter which party option you choose! Please look at our reviews if you are considering us for your next party.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and we will be happy to answer them!

Since we launched early this year, there hasn't been a week that has gone by where we haven't been doing something in the community. In light of that, we are going to be taking the next couple of weeks off from our Superhero opportunities to spend time with our families and "recharge our batteries." Of course, if you would like for us to visit a sick child at a hospital or home, we will of course suit up for that. We are very thankful for all of the opportunities and we are looking forward to another great year. Merry Christmas!

Please keep the Dickinson family in your thoughts and prayers. Our good friend, Dwain, passed away this morning after a very long battle with Cancer. We are going to miss him! He never let cancer bring him down, instead he used it to give people encouragement and hope. Rest in peace, brother. We will see you again one day.

Please come out this Thursday to support the Paul Anderson Memorial Park. Paul Anderson was a true hometown hero! We are proud to support this cause and hope that the community will join us in all the fun. This is for the whole family. We even heard that our friend, Santa, would be dropping by for a while to hang out. You don't want to miss this!
